An electronic version of the 2011 edition of the Nephrology Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice is available. Now in eBook format, this edition of the Scope and Standards has been expanded to include a definition of nephrology nursing, trends and opportunities, and the future of nephrology nursing.
ANNA has published a new resource for acute care nurses: "Acute Care Hemodialysis Orientation Manual and Assessment Tools." This electronic book provides an orientation overview for the nurse new to nephrology or the veteran nephrology nurse who is mentoring a new nurse. It is generic enough to be widely applicable, yet specific enough to address the wide range of skills and knowledge for nephrology nurses across the continuum.
Nephrology Nursing Journal (NNJ) articles are available in ANNA's Online Library. The complete journal article archive - from January 2000 to the current issue - is fully searchable. Search NNJ articles by keyword, author, volume/issue, or CNE availability. In addition, the CNE evaluation process for all NNJ articles now occurs within the Online Library. Earn CNE online and keep a transcript of the NNJ CNE you've earned in the Online Library.
ANNA has released the 2011 edition of the Nephrology Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice. This new edition has been expanded to include a definition of nephrology nursing, trends and opportunities, and the future of nephrology nursing. It serves as a guide in identifying nephrology nurses responsibilities to their profession, their colleagues, and the patient.
ANNA has developed a job description template for an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) practicing in nephrology. The template outlines suggested APRN roles and responsibilities but can be adapted as needed to different workplaces.
