General Statement of Duties: The Home Dialysis Nurse (HDN) trains and manages both PD and HHD patients and their assistants. The HDN is responsible for training, medical management, documentation, and following PSKC standards and practices.


Home Training Registered Nurse

The Home Training RN is responsible for a Home Training case load. This role coordinates patient education prior to treatment to inform the patient of different treatment options, coordinates initiation into the program, oversees/performs training and manages patient progress through the training.  This individual provides safe, effective, and compassionate care that is consistent with State and Federal regulations and Company policies, procedures and guidelines.

The individual in this role provides dialysis patient care for acute patients at local area hospitals.  The Acute Nurse executes and monitors treatments in the hospital setting; follows up on care, and provides the proper documentation for dialysis care. Dialysis Nurse Educator

Works in collaboration with the Nursing Department Managers to identify educational needs of staff in the specialty area, to develop programs to meet these needs, and evaluate outcomes. Orients new staff, trains and serves as a mentor for preceptors, assures competency validation of new staff and facilitates annual competency validation updates. Works with Educational Resources and the Nurse Managers to assess educational needs, plan, implement, and evaluate programs designed to meet these needs.

Assistant Nurse Manager, Dialysis Unit

The University of Virginia Medical Center is currently seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Dialysis unit in Zion Crossroads, VA. This position is responsible for supporting the Nurse Manager in administrative duties of the unit, especially during off shifts. He or she will provide leadership by collaborating with members of the health care team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. He or she will participate in organizational and unit-based quality improvement activities, and provide input on standards of care.

CHI Franciscan Health, based in Tacoma, Washington is seeking an individual to manage the clinical and operational activities for the Inpatient & Home Dialysis Team. Works as a member of the health care team to ensure top quality patient care. Fosters great communication and collaboration. 

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN or Bachelors' Degree preferred. We require 3 years experience and clinical knowledge in Dialysis and at least 2 years in a charge nurse or management position.
