Letter from ANNA President Regarding CMS' Proposed Cuts to ESRD Program

PhotoAs you may have heard by now, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) published a proposed rule that contains devastating cuts to Medicare's ESRD program. There is no debating that a cut of nearly 10%, or approximately $30 per $245 treatment, will have a serious negative impact on our entire community.

It is crucial that Members of Congress hear a loud and unified message from all members of the kidney community about the implications of the proposed rule. I am reaching out to you as a nephrology nurse and member of ANNA to have your voice heard.

Please take action now! Click on the ANNA Legislative Action Center and send a letter today. (It is very easy to do.) Tell your Senators and Representative that the CMS proposal goes too far, cuts too deep.  Underscore the importance of Medicare's ESRD program to individuals with kidney failure.

For additional information, click here to review the CMS proposed rule and ANNA's press release about the rule.

Thank you for your immediate attention to this important request.  Working together, we have an opportunity to reverse this proposal and in doing so protect patient access to quality dialysis care.
