Works in collaboration with the Nursing Department Managers to identify educational needs of staff in the specialty area, to develop programs to meet these needs, and evaluate outcomes. Orients new staff, trains and serves as a mentor for preceptors, assures competency validation of new staff and facilitates annual competency validation updates. Works with Educational Resources and the Nurse Managers to assess educational needs, plan, implement, and evaluate programs designed to meet these needs.
