What is unique about nephrology nursing?

Nephrology nursing is multifactorial as it requires a deep understanding of renal physiology, the principles of dialysis, medication management, and the psychological and emotional aspects of living with kidney disease. This multidimensional approach to care sets nephrology nursing apart and demands a high level of expertise and compassion from nephrology nurses.
