Acute/Chronic Nurse

The individual in this role provides dialysis patient care for acute patients at local area hospitals.  The Acute Nurse executes and monitors treatments in the hospital setting; follows up on care, and provides the proper documentation for dialysis care. This individual provides safe, effective, and compassionate care that is consistent with the State, Federal and Company guidelines and Company policies and procedures.

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

Dialysis Nurse Educator

Works in collaboration with the Nursing Department Managers to identify educational needs of staff in the specialty area, to develop programs to meet these needs, and evaluate outcomes. Orients new staff, trains and serves as a mentor for preceptors, assures competency validation of new staff and facilitates annual competency validation updates. Works with Educational Resources and the Nurse Managers to assess educational needs, plan, implement, and evaluate programs designed to meet these needs.

Assistant Nurse Manager, Dialysis Unit

The University of Virginia Medical Center is currently seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager for the Dialysis unit in Zion Crossroads, VA. This position is responsible for supporting the Nurse Manager in administrative duties of the unit, especially during off shifts. He or she will provide leadership by collaborating with members of the health care team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. He or she will participate in organizational and unit-based quality improvement activities, and provide input on standards of care.
