ANNA’s Transplant SPN developed this educational series as a mechanism to provide nephrology nurses with comprehensive learning opportunities on the topic of kidney transplantation. This series will be continually updated throughout the year with topics including referring a patient for transplant, transplant evaluation, the waiting list, living kidney donation options, peri-operative risks, transplant medications and post operative care and concerns. Our hope is that this series will help guide nephrology nurses in their care of transplant candidates and recipients.
